Rooikrans – Acacia Cyclops
Also a native of south-western Australia, Rooikrans, like Port Jackson, is a member of the Legume family. It is extremely invasive of both sandy coastal margins and is a threat to mountain fynbos. It looks somewhat similar to the Port Jackson and the seeds are spread by wind, birds and by the passage of vehicles and other human activity. Much of the invasion of new areas (and re-colonization after clearing) takes place along the verges of roads. This wood is very well known and popular in the Cape (Western Cape of South Africa) and is a very popular Braai wood.
**All wood is supplied in a White Hessian Woven Bag unless you request a clear bag
