Olive Smoking Wood for your smoking and barbeque needs.
Olive trees are very hardy and can live for many years. Olive wood is very dense with natural oil content. Being so dense it burns for much longer than some other woods, making it more economical as you need to use less. All our olive wood has been seasoned (dried) so it has a very low moisture content. This makes it burn efficiently while producing more heat.
This BBQ wood is perfect for large BBQs and open fires. Olive root wood is particularly dense and is a lot more yielding than softer woods. The raw logs burn very evenly and slowly while delivering a smokey aroma over an extended period of time to the smoking foods.
Our smoking woods can be used in conjunction with our braai woods or charcoal to add that extra flavour.
It is totally natural as we have not treated it with any chemicals and olive wood burns with a lovely golden flame, producing a beautiful aroma.
Our wood is supplied in the raw log form and will need chopping into smaller pieces if required. The wood is responsibly harvested and imported from Spain.
